Under the exceptional mentorship of a Medical School faculty member, a course at MSRP provides the following:
- Interactive Academic sessions that will introduce diverse topics in Biomedicine, including Immunology, Neurobiology, Microbiology, and Cancer Biology.
- Research Methods sessions that will familiarize the students with various methods applied in biomedical research.
- Communication Skills sessions that will teach various aspects of the creative non-fiction and scientific writing process.
- Individual sessions with the Research Mentor and the Communications Mentor to guide each student through their research
As well as
- Several rounds of thorough manuscript editing and revisions to help with research article preparation and submission
Upon completion of the course, students will receive a certificate of completion and a letter of recommendation.

Why publish a medical research article?
- STEM programs are extremely competitive
- 4.0 GPA and participation in conventional school clubs/activities is not sufficient
- Certain unique activities such as research publication will help stand out in the crowd
